Ragging also includes:

• Physical abuse (including sexual harassment, stripping, or harmful acts).
• Verbal or online abuse, including emails, posts, or public humiliation.
• Any action that affects a student’s mental health, confidence, or sense of safety.

Haldia Institute of Pharmacy maintains zero tolerance towards ragging. Every incident is treated seriously, and an FIR will be lodged without exception. The Anti-Ragging Committee will evaluate and recommend punishment based on the severity and facts of the case.

Depending on the gravity of the offense, punishments may include:

• Cancellation of admission
• Suspension from classes
• Withholding of scholarships/fellowships
• Disqualification from exams or events
• Withholding results
• Debarment from representing the institute
• Suspension or expulsion from hostel
• Final expulsion from the institute and ban on re-admission anywhere

• A dedicated Anti-Ragging Cell monitors and investigates all reported cases.
• Awareness programs and declarations are part of the admission process.
• Helpline numbers and complaint mechanisms are made accessible to all students.
