Admission Information

CONNECTIVITY AND ACCESSIBILITY (Route direction):

1. By bus: Take a train from Howrah Railway Station/Kharagpur Railway Station to Mecheda Railway Station. Then from Mecheda Bus Stop take a public bus or any cab to Ranichak, Haldia over NH 41(52 kms).Then from Ranichak to HIP, Haldia take the vehicle arranged by the college. Or take a direct train to Haldia Railway Station.

2. By train: Get on the bus from Kolkata Esplanade Central Bus Terminal to Haldia Bus Terminal or Ranichak, Haldia(135 km).Then from Ranichak to HIT, Haldia take the vehicle arranged by the college. Or take a bus from Kolkata Esplanade Central Bus Terminal to Raichak. Then take a vessel to cross Hoogly River and get down at Kukrahati. From Kukrahati Bus Stand get on a bus to Ranichak, Haldia.Then from Ranichak to HIT, Haldia take the vehicle arranged by the college.

3. By air: Get down at Netaji Subhas International Airport. Then from airport take a shuttling airport bus to Esplande Central Bus Terminal or to Howrah Railway Station then follow point number 1 or 2.

Eligibility

To complete the admission process at Haldia Institute of Pharmacy, applicants must submit the following documents

  • Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent from a recognized board in regular mode.
  • Minimum age: 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year; no upper age limit.
  • Required subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and any one of Mathematics, Biology, or Biotechnology.
  • Must pass both theory and practical separately in all subjects.
  • Must score: Minimum 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry & optional subject combined (40% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD). Minimum 40% marks in English (all categories).
  • Candidates from boards other than WBCHSE or universities other than WBUHS must submit a Migration Certificate by the university deadline.
  • Domicile certificate is required for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates applying under reserved categories.
4 Yrs
M.Pharm
  • Must be an Indian national.
